1. Diagnosis:Fetal macrosomia
2. Risk factors:
- Maternal diabetes (gestational or pre-existing)
- Obesity or excessive maternal weight gain
- Post-term pregnancy
- Previous macrosomic baby
3. Maternal complications:
- Postpartum hemorrhage
- Perineal or vaginal tears
4. Fetal complications:
- Shoulder dystocia
- Brachial plexus injury (e.g. Erb’s palsy)
